Thanks everyone for your time on the partner call. I'll work with Zola and Rachel to get updating information regarding adapting your branding to the new site design. In the meantime if you have any questions please share them here and I'll do my best to answer them.

Here are my thinking-aloud thoughts about the co-branded identity:

Both color and size play a role in emphasis on the state identity. The black is so much heavier than the teal, even if you do increase the font size on "statename", it will be far less identifiable than our current state signposts. Perhaps experiment with making the large WebJunction in teal and the state/partner name in black to better balance the weight and make the partner name noticeable.

Just another doodle for consideration. The attached graphic shows how the partners could retain some of their color identity without losing the consistent inside look and generous white space on the new design.

A quick update-
We are talking to our development team about taking the "portlet headers" - those gray boxes that lead of content areas such as "My Account" and "Resources" - and changing them from gray to your unique color. This could be a nice way to ensure your site's unique color is visible throughout the page and not just concentrated in the header. It also preserves whitespace as much as possible.

I'll work with Zola to get you an update on the overall co-branding effort as soon as possible.

Kevin, is there a reason that we can't also do what Dawne has shown us in her post with the Kansas example? I think that's more what was being suggested in the CP meeting.

Hi,

We just heard from Kevin this morning that he is the proud papa of twin girls--three weeks earlier than expected! He will be taking today and tomorrow off, so we will pick up this discussion with him when he returns.

Who should we be working with and what do we need to do to work on the design of the new banner that will be needed for the CP sites? We remember this requiring quite a bit of coordination when we initially launched the site.

The new banner real estate area for the CP identity is smaller, so some redesign is needed from what is currently in place.

Thanks
-Dawne

P.S. Congrats Kevin!!! You now have three duaghters, right?

Thanks for this question, Dawne.

We expect the co-branding process to be pretty streamlined this time around. We have engaged an external graphic designer to update your branding...they will use the colors & images on your existing sites as a starting point for their work.

Right now, we are waiting for some additional dev work to be done before we can hand the css files, etc. to the graphic designers. Once they have mock-ups to share, either Zola or I will be contacting you to get your feedback so that your new branding can be implemented on your sites.

Thanks,
Rachel
